How do you program the Clock?

There are Totaline thermostat models with a program switch and the models that do not have it.

If your thermostat has a Program Switch

Press the “Set Clock” button on the thermostat. The digits on the clock will darken, indicating you are setting the clock. Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the time. Make sure you correctly set the clock to AM or PM, as indicated on the screen.

If your thermostat does not have a Program Switch

Press and hold the Mode button, then press and hold Override for 2 seconds. Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the time values then press Mode to proceed.

Repeat the above for all the values and finish programming the time.

How do you turn on the heat on a Totaline thermostat?

For Totaline thermostat with a Mode Switch

Step 1:

Check for a Mode switch for Heat, Cool, or Off. If you do not see the Mode switch follow the instructions after this.

Step 2:

Select your desired mode.

Step 3:

Adjust the temperature using the direction buttons. If the Program is in Run, you’ll override the schedule.

If your thermostat does not have a Mode Switch

For models without Mode and Program switches

Step 1:

Press the Mode button.

Step 2:

Adjust the heat setting using the direction buttons, or proceed to the next step.

Step 3:

Press Mode again to toggle the next options: Cool, Auto, Program On, or Off.

How do I reset my old Totaline thermostat?

Sometimes your Totaline thermostat will start acting funny and you will need to reset it to the factory mode, beware that this procedure will return the unit to the factory mode and it will wipe out all the current settings, it is recommended to note down important settings or schedule before continuing.

Step 1:

Press the button labeled “Mode” and hold it down. At the same time, press the “Down” key.

Step 2:

Release both buttons after five seconds or when you see some changes with the display.

Press and hold down the “Fan or Override” button. Let go of the button when the display flashes or reads “Fd.”

Step 4

To finish the process, press the Mode button two times.

Totaline thermostats come with a function when you can lock the keypad of the thermostat to prevent unauthorized changes to your thermostat.

Step 1:

Start by pressing and holding the Mode button.

Step 2:

 While holding the mode button in, press and hold the up and down buttons together.

There are two ways that you can power your Totaline thermostat, it is either by the battery or by wiring it to your home electric system.

How to remove a battery-powered Totaline thermostat? 

If you have a battery-powered thermostat, a flat head screwdriver will be of help. You’ll be using it to insert the head into the slots to detach the thermostat.

Step 1:

Locate the slots, which will likely be at the top area.

Step 2:

Insert the screwdriver head into the slot, then twist the screwdriver to unsnap the attachment.

Repeat Step 2 on the other slot.

Pull the front panel starting from the sides with slots, then all the way.

How to remove a wired Totaline thermostat?

This is how to remove a wired Totaline thermostat.

Step 1:

Remove the cover of the old thermostat. If it does not come off easily check for screws.

Step 2:

Loosen the screws holding the thermostat base or subbase to the wall, and lift away.

Step 3:

Disconnect the wires from the old thermostat.

Step 4:

Tape the ends of the wires as you disconnect them, and mark them with the letter of the terminal for easy reconnection to the new thermostat.
